Cozy and historic feeling place. Good margaritas with fast service at the bar and sports game on. Enchilada had good flavor, and chips and salsa fresh and crisp.

We ordered the asada Huarache, chilaquiles, and the carne asada nachos. Everything was delicious. Tasted just like a home cooked meal made by my abuela. Only reason I did give 5 stars is because there were hardly any chips with the chilaquiles.

Don Antonio's restaurant is good and we love to come here because the service is great and food test is good .

Don Antonio's is a neighborhood restaurant. The atmosphere is dated and the crowd isn't fancy. But the food is wonderful and the welcome is warm and invariably I have a very pleasant time there and do will you if you try it.

Very tasty / high quality ingredients. Cool spot though you will inevitably wait in line. Still not favorite Mission burrito though, just lacks the punch of Cancun or El Castillito.
Martha Gaspar
The tacos are really good and good service

We were going to Neat bar across the street from here and decided to eat something before going. It's a busy busy place but we got seated right away. The restaurant is dark! And they designed it to make it feel like a cave I think. Huge menu so it took some time to sort out what to get. Their free salsa and chips were on the spicy side which was good. I had the cheese enchiladas plate. The food was pretty good, but definitely lacked in service. It was difficult to get our waiters attention bc he was so busy himself and walking in light speed. I guess that's good but it'll also be better if he actually checked in on you from time to time. We finally had to flag down someone else to get our waiter for our ck. One thing we didn't care for was this lady coming around trying to sell flowers to the customers. Let us eat in peace! It's so tacky when restaurants do that.

Good food lovely out in the patio and attentive service by professional staff. Our good fortune to stumble upon it.

A popular restaurant, I came here for a taco wednesday, but didn't know they had that. It's dark inside, with a bar area and booths. The service overall was just okay. The food came out at a decent time. The chips and salsa are okay...the salsa is on the spicier side, but not overwhelming. I decided on the potato tacos from the taco wednesday menu, which are on the cheap side. However, my food came out rather cold, on the verge of being less than lukewarm. The flavor of the taco was just okay, and the quality was what you would expect for 1.75.Perhaps the other food items are better, but I would definitely order something else if I came here again.

We had a large party of 30 people. The servers, manager, and staff did an excellent job from start to finish to make it a wonderful event. Although the parking situation can be difficult there, the valets worked so hard to accommodate us. The margaritas are amazing too! Thank you for all your hard work and great food. Will make this our place for future parties.

I come here often with co-workers for lunch. They have awesome lunch specials and delicious margaritas. I will definitely keep coming back for the food. They give you a good amount... plus free chips!

Nice location with very friendly and fast service crew. Menus are tasty. ðŸ‘😃I was there many times during office days for lunch menu. Starting with Nachos for free with delicious salsa. For lunch they have some full menus on hot dishes and with silverware for affordable 6,90$. ðŸ‘Try the outside the patio on the rear of the restaurant. It's very nice, like a short vacation in Mexico. Inside is dark for hot days with nice aquariums.

Perfect example of old school Mexican food in Southern California. We ate out on the patio, which was perfect. I got a combo plate with a crispy ground beef taco and a pork tamale with red mole. The combo comes with beans and rice. I also got a cup of albondigas soup. My wife got Machaca with flour tortillas and my daughter got a chorizo and egg burrito. We shared guacamole and chips. Everything was fantastic! The service was friendly and prompt.

The albondiga and chicken tortilla soup are so good!

It's OK. Just OK. I don't think I would go back. Viva Fresh is 100 times better. And the best is Hacienda Playa, in Playa Del Rey. On Persing. The best in town. Sorry Don Antonio. But you also need to tell your servers to be polite. They basically ignored us when we asked for something. The men seemed they did not want to work.

Very hospitable service staff. First time and i got tamale plate to go. Food was delicious and the service quick. Valet let me park free to pick up my order. Always appreciate a close parking space. Definately going back to try something different.

Really good, authentic Mexican food. Parking is kind of a pain, but they have valet services available for $3.50. Highly recommended place when you're in Santa Monica.

The food is exceptional. The prices are fair. Fish taco had a large amount of fish!! The lamb stew so tender and flavorful. The service was exceptional on a very busy night. Try it for lunch or dinner.

Reasonably priced homemade Mexican food. The servers were quick and attentive. You gotta valet your car (unless street parking) but worth it.

It was my first time eating here found a spot online on the way home the food was great the service was great but drinks were great everything was good except 4 the parking the parking is horrible because there is not enough space for everyone although they do have valet parking available I would have gave it five stars but the parking is the only thing that made it for other than that everything was great we met the manager by the name of Adam very wonderful person and attentive thank you Adam for a great first visit

If you're looking great Mexican restaurant and a gate drinks this is your place. They have great Mexican authentic cuisine, A wonderful selection of alcohol, and delicious desserts. As an appetizer I highly recommend their nachos, and for dessert I highly recommend their chango. Are a deep fried Dessert I would almost describe it as a deep built with a banana cream cheese and costed on the outside a with cinnamon sugar, as well as accompanied what with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, and a and caramel dizzle.A dish I was really impressed by was the Birria. If you're like me and like cucumber you'll probably love their pepino loco. It's something I like to order when I want to enjoy a margarita there.

Kind of dark like a cave when you go in, but really a friendly place. The margaritas are tasty and the good is always good. I like that I can usually get a side if the spicy pickled carrots to go with my food.

Love, love, love this place. Great food, drinks and service. Limited parking. Valet parking is available. No happy hour here. The bar does get crowd, however. First come first served.

Simply amazingly great food! I really ate too much... the best guacamole in townðŸ˜. Shrimp fajitas were delicious and seasoned perfectly. Also I've never had beans & cheese this good, I mean Wow!!! I won't go any where else for Mexican food.

Super outdoor space with lots of shade, waiters are friendly and kind and food met the expectations of a nice Mexican meal!

Visiting from the Bay Area, it was nice to have down home Mexican food. There aren’t too many restaurants like this anymore in San Francisco. East Oakland, maybe. I never eat refried beans, but couldn’t resist these with the cheese perfectly melted. The meat was seasoned well with nice portions. My margarita was also well made. Overall, great food. Ambiance just okay—a bit too dark and you walk in to people eating at tables. Awkward.

Love this place. We come here at least once a week. Chips and Salsa is pretty tasty. You can ask them for extra spicy one if you are into it ;) fish tacos are really good.k
